Vialattea means skiing on the same courses where the ski top champions have been skiing, where the XX Winter Olympics Torino 2006 took place. The Vialattea skiing area is waiting for you to discover the  beauties and opportunities this area can offer. A completely renewed skiing area, vanguard lifting facilities set up for the Olympics, technically advanced and terrific courses as well as an improved and high technological planned snow making system supported by means of new artificial water collection basins to be used for the snow-making procedure.

The Vialattea offers a wide choice of skiing opportunities: this international  skiing area includes Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Pragelato Claviere as well as the French Montgenèvre.

The skiing area denotes huge spaces, sunny snowy expanses, panoramic runs that connect ancient and traditional villages with modern towns that provide all comforts and entertainment. The expanse and variety of this skiing area can satisfy both the most demanding skiers, thanks to the long and difficult courses, and the beginners.

The Vialattea resorts are also known for the  excellent food.  In fact there are more than 30 high altitude refuges to back up the skiers with their dainties. You can remain on the courses all day long without having to forgot the pleasure of a well-deserved break and enjoy one of our traditional dishes.

The Vialattea skiing area is in Piemonte and it is easy to reach, one hour drive from “S.Pertini” airport in Torino-Caselle and a little more than two hours from Milan, Genoa, Geneva and Nice airports. The closest railway station is at Oulx where numerous high speed trains stop daily from Rome, Turin, Lyon and Paris. There is a frequent bus service to allow tourists to reach the various resorts of the ski area. When driving to the area from Turin, the first lifts (those of Jouvenceaux- Sauze d’Oulx) are  only 3 kms from the “Sauze d’Oulx – Cesana – Claviere – Sestriere” exit of the Frejus A32 motorway.
